Commodity Supplemental Food Program
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides a nutritious food box on a monthly basis that is based on the USDA food guidelines. The program offers 13 distribution sites in the Southern Panhandle of Nebraska. Eligibility for the program is based on age – elderly 60 years or older, post-partum women and children ages 5-6 – and income qualifications. CSFP is an alternative program to the WIC participants if they so choose.
Applications are accepted in person at the Gering site located at the CAPWN main campus at 910 Crescent Drive each Wednesday and at each distribution site throughout the week.
