Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides assistance to eligible clients in completing their tax returns through e-file.  Assistance is also offered for those who wish to complete their own returns. Volunteers are highly trained, professional and ethical in providing quality service to those in need.  The VITA program ensures the IRS is able to meet its mission of providing America's taxpayers top quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and by applying the tax law with integrity and fairness to all.

VITA increases financial stability of working individuals and families by enabling qualifying taxpayers to claim important tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit.  CAPWN VITA volunteers have assisted hundreds of taxpayers in properly filing and claiming applicable credits.

Filing assistance for 2012 tax returns will begin in January 2013.  Stay tuned for specific dates and information for the upcoming year!
