Teacher Aide
Assist in the implementation of the education and parent involvement objectives in accordance with Dept. of Health and Human Services Administration for Children Youth and Families (ACYF) Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must obtain a Child Development Associates credential with 24 months of hire following program design. Experience in education of preschool children preferred. Requires proficient level of communication skills oral and written, and teamwork. Current CPR and First Aid card or must be able to acquire. Complete 40 contact hours of education annually in subject matter related to position. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 18 years old or above.

Migrant Assistant Teacher:
Assist Teacher to implement the education and family engagement objectives through daily operation of center in accordance with Dept. of Health and Human Services Administration for Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing.

Minimum Qualification: Establish a classroom structure implementing program curriculum, developmentally appropriate practices and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing education environment that ensures a quality child development program. Translate communication between program, child and family using family's primary language when appropriate. Interact in a skilled, respectful and sensitive manner to strengthen families as the primary nurturers of their children through improved parenting skills, emotional well-being, and progress toward family goals. Partner with families and communicate to provide children with education, health and nutritional services to enhance their growth and development. Effectively use and maintain materials, supplies, equipment, facilities and grounds. Provide individualized training of support staff with the support of management team and participate in development of employee development plans. Encourage community involvement and support for the program documented by non-federal match. Maintain standards of confidentiality regarding program, children, families and staff. Participate and contribute to the support of a quality program through participation in team meetings and program assessment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Migrant Teacher Aide:

Assume responsibility for the daily operation of classroom in the teacher's absence. Assist in the effective use and maintenance of materials, supplies, equipment, facilities and grounds.
Act as bus monitor when necessary. Provide child care at parent meetings, conferences, etc. as requested. Maintain standards of confidentiality regarding children and families.
Translate communication between teacher, child and family, using family's primary language, when appropriate. Respectful interactions with parents and community.
Regular communication and information sharing with teacher. Recruit eligible children for the program to ensure full enrollment. Encourage community involvement and support for the program. Participate and contribute to a quality program through team meetings and goals and program assessment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Caregiver Substitute:
Training opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to become a quality child care aide.  Serve as a substitute caregiver assisting in the implementation of the education objectives in accordance to the standards and regulations practiced by the center or in-home facility.  Standards and regulations may include Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children, Youth, and Families (ACYF), Early Head Start Performance Standards, State Licensing Regulations, or National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications: Must complete health physical upon entry to program. Must be able to move about, getting up and down from floor play with children. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Physically able to perform job. High school diploma or equivalent and 18 or older.

Pertinent Information:  A pre-employment drug test is required. This is a 90 day position.

Chief Financial Officer:
Directs the organization's accounting practices, financial planning, and investments and as well as its relationship with lending institutions, financial community, state and federal funding sources; analyze fiscal status of the organization; participate in overall management efforts to further Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska (CAPWN) operation and goals; coordination of audits.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related area or Licensed Certified Managerial Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. Relevant experience in a non-profit organization may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Five years financial management experience including significant assignments related to duties listed above and two years in supervision of staff. Must be bondable with a valid driver's license, good driving record and insured vehicle. Knowledge and skills necessary to develop and use spreadsheets, databases, software used in financial and accounting applications. Knowledge of budget and financial analysis principles and techniques. Knowledge of local, state, and federal funding, grant requirements and non-profit requirements. Must have good group and interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

Staff Account:
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of ledgers, reports and journals required by funding sources; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by grantors.  Prepare and verify budget numbers with program directors.

Minimum Qualification: AA Degree in Accounting or three years of accounting work experience. Experienced in use of Microsoft Excel program and ability to learn CAPWN's automated accounting system. Requires proficient level of written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people.
Attention to detail is imperative. Must be bondable. Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and insured vehicle. Must be 21 years old or above.

Bilingual Clinic Front Desk Receptionist:
Greet and assist Health Center clients at the beginning of their clinical visit assuring client satisfaction with emphasis on Customer Service as well as completion of data entry of all required CAPWN forms; assure medical chart continuity. 

Minimum Qualification: High School diploma or GED. Knowledge of office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems and record keeping, use of computer with at least one year of experience. Requires proficient level of oral and written communication skills. Data entry speed of 9900 keystrokes per hour (33 wpm). Bilingual in English/Spanish orally and written communication. Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook and other programs such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point. Strong interpersonal and initiative skills.

Ensure efficient operations of the program, by providing clerical and data entry skills.


Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or equivalency (GED). Must be proficient in verbal and written communication in Spanish and English. One (1) year office experience with basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft programs. 7600 key stroke data entry (45wpm)
Present a positive, professional image to public and staff. Ability to operate a variety of office machines and basic knowledge of maintenance. Ability to interact with others to provide a positive work environment. Insured vehicle and valid driver's license with good driving record available at all times.
Age 21 or over.
